Note to Self: Stay Focused
As a beginner in the IM game, it can be tough to stay focused on your goal. The goal for me is to make some money. I am not looking to make millions and millions of dollars, I just want to make some extra money. My current goal is to make $500.00 in revenue. I just want to prove to myself that I can do this; note there is no time limit for earning the $500.00. I have started and stopped many time, it is very easy to get discouraged.
One thing that is especially difficult for me, and other IM beginners I would image, is to stay focused on your plan. My plan is to use article marketing to make some sales and give myself some money to invest back into my IM strategies. I do not want to dump tons of my own money on AdWords only to fail so my strategy is to use “BUM” marketing to create a fund that will allow me to invest in other IM strategies. This is my plan, it may be overly simple, it may even be neive, but it is what I have decided. I am well aware that this method can be difficult to stick with because sometimes it seems like it just won’t work.
I currently have 12 live articles at ezinearticles.com, I am trying to write 2-3 per day. I started my IM activities on the 8th of May of this year. I have earned $23.00 as of today. I made one sale on the 11th of May and one on the 12th. When you delve into the world of IM it is so easy to lose focus, there are so many get rich quick schemes and it seems as though every “guru” is pedaling some e-book or IM course or some such garbage. The truth, as far as I have seen is that hard work and dedication is the only way to make any money in IM.
Stick with me as I learn and maybe you will learn a few things yourself. At the very least you will surely have a few laughs at my expense.
